We're Home!

The last test results came back and he'll be able to take an antibiotic pill after all (vs staying in the hospital for 10-14 days for antibiotic via an IV). Of course Patrick seems to think that a caramel frappachino will cure everything. He's still limpping around, but that's from the surgery. He'll be heading back to school in the morning. Thank you all for all of your prayers and support.
Hopefully, this is the end of this little adventure.

Sunday Night: Lookin' Good

Party in room B923. (Our plan is for them to ask us to leave) Decor by Kendra & Lolli

Kendra said "We are so thankful Patrick is at Brenner's. NOW for my lipo, tummy tuck, butt lift! Not sure how to cute the lack of sleep, but..."
"Do you think we can just walk out? With the wheelchair and an I.V. port in his arm?"
"Let's find out."

This is a hospital right?
So, we have been told that they are doing some tests to see what antibiotic would be the most effective in eliminating the bacteria from his blood. The results should be in late tonight, and the rumor is that we should be able to take it in a pill form (vs. an I.V.) and possibly get to go home tomorrow! So we've gone from hearing this morning that we may have to stay 10-14 more days here to now (possibly) only having hours left. We are so thankful. It's been a crazy and unpredictable ride... and we're ready for it to be over. I'll post again as soon as we hear from the doctors.

Brenners: Not our first choice in Labor Day time-share locations

Patrick had a four-legged friend stop by yesterday... or the day before. It's all a blur.
Okay. If we are here much longer I'll use this to update everyone on Patrick's progress. Right now, there are rumors of possibly going home tomorrow. Let's hope that's the case.

Just downloaded the Blogger App. This is a post to test it out... I'm thinking of ditching Facebook. We'll see.

One year later

Happy Birthday Catherine. Here's a photo that your teacher took today–look at those teeth! Oh yeah, Mommy snapped this other one when you were digging in the trash can for those Mylar balloons from Alexander's birthday party. Yes, they lasted that long.

Let's see, at one year old you're:
- walking
- waving goodbye
- saying "ball", in addition to momma & dada
- shaking your head back and forth like a crazy woman. (see also Mother)
- able to stick your bottom lip out on command (pout)
- always smiling
- always on the phone. Real ones. Drool and Blackberry's don't mix.
- riding skateboards (Alexanders, you sit and lean forward, holding on to the front sides)
- riding in Power Wheels (thank Patrick for fixing the truck & driving you around)
- still holding my finger as you roam the house. I love it. I know those days are numbered.
- still not playing with any of your toys
- sleeping very well through the night (the other night you woke up and sung yourself back to sleep. beautiful.)
- eating everything, not picky at all
- love wrestling with your brothers
- hiding under the table behind the couch

The list could go on.
We love you lollipop.

Really?

The last entry was about Catherine's first day at school? Realy?! Her first birthday is tomorrow! So much to say, so many photos. Here are a few more photos of her... at school... over the past nine months. Enjoy.
